May was a wonderful and ver busy month for us. The Wednesday before we had to leave for our vacation Steve submitted his final paper. On Thursday he received it back with a pass. Which means he was done with school and has his bachelor's degree. On Thursday he met with the computer programming supervisor and was officially offered the job of a junior programmer. On Friday we finished packing and left for our family vacation.
This was a big milestone for our family. We have had lots of campouts or family reunions. But never an entire week of vacationing. And my children were going to Disneyland for the first time.
My only regret is somehow the memory card was missing from my camera and I was not able to get tons of pictures. So I had to try and capture some of my favorite poses.
I had to post a picture of the teacups. David and Elijah hate any ride that goes up and down. But they love being spun round and round. So we took several turns on the teacups. I don't have many pictures of the girls because they wanted to take off and ride the bigger rides.
I regret to say that this was one of the few shots taken at Sea World. Everyone loved petting the bat rays. And everyone got wet from Shamu. Steve and I enjoyed the shows but the girls were off to try the roller coasters. They had never been in a roller coaster that lifted you up through an elevator before. By now my feet were really killing me.
Our vacation was just over a week long and we loved it. I am bummed that I have no pictures from our two trips to the beach. The water was freezing but my girls and Steve waded out in it to catch some waves. I am hoping we can go back in August to enjoy the ocean. It was a bit exhausting to go Disneyland for two days, Sea World for a day and sandwich in a couple beach days in between. But we had to squeeze in every minute of fun we could.
