Pinch me...I Must Be Dreaming!

Things are just too perfect right now I must be dreaming.  After 11 hard years (I am only counting the time we have been married in his schooling equation) Steve will finish his bachelor's degree next week!  At work he has a a position just waiting for him to finish his final project and he will be an official computer programmer.

With many blessings and much effort our family will be taking a trip to California next Friday.  Yes folks we get to go to Disneyland and Sea World.  That in itself is a dream come true for my children.  We get to spend a week in California!  Lets hope the weather warms up so we can enjoy the beach.  I can't wait to blog about that.

Easter Fun

Easter was fun, as always.  Too much candy, too many eggs but lots of smiles.  The Easter Bunny visits our house on Saturday.  Saturday is our day of colored eggs, baskets and bunny.  Sunday is our day focused on the Savior.

As you can see from the pictures Elijah's face was always messy.  He was always able to find candy lying around that he could get into.  David loved the egg hunt.  We have this huge, untamed yard and it was perfect for egg hunting.  Thank goodness we are re-doing our yard this spring.  Although I have my doubts because Steve is so busy finishing school.  On the bright side, this is the last spring Steve has to be busy studying!

Conference set a special spirit to Easter.  It was touching to listen to the Apostle's voices and hear them bear testimony of the Savior and his love for us.  I love Easter and being able to reflect the sacrifice Jesus made for us.  It reminds me of all that our Savior did for me.  And my purpose here on Earth.

Kiki

Last year we adopted two cats to help with the voles who keep ruining our yard.  Kiki is our orange tabby. The family loves Kiki.  She will let the kids do just about anything to her.  She came right over and laid in Elijah's lap.  I was shocked because eventually 'Lijah get too rough and starts grabbing her fur and mauling her.  But this day we were outside she just wanted to be around us and get her lovins'.

An Angel Among Us

I feel bad that I don't blog about my other children enough.  A perfect example is Anna.   She just quietly goes on growing up before our eyes.  She is a hard worker and a great helper.  As all our children she has some issues we work through but she is such a great girl.  At school, all of Anna's teachers love her.  She is quiet and works hard in class to get her assignments done.  She loves her little brothers and is always a big help.  What an angel!

Beauty is Pain

Well this last week Sadie had braces put on.  Her mouth has hurt so much.  They don't warn you about that.  If teenage mood swings weren't enough.  Just add constant pain to it.  It has made me appreciate the days with just the teenage mood swings.  Poor Sadie her mouth has finally stopped hurting so much.

Photographer In the Making

One of Sadie's favorite hobbies is taking pictures.  This is one she captured from our deck.

More Elijah.

How can I not post these pictures?
